Under the surface is a dedicated marine visualization project focused on Sweden's most biologically diverse marine habitat and its very first underwater national park in Kosterhavet. The installation utilizes rich ecological datasets and underwater imagery compiled by the University of Gothenburg’s Department of Marine Ecology at Tjärnö between 1997 and 2008. The system allows researchers and public visitors to explore deep-water ecosystems, mapping the complex distributions of marine life beneath the surface to foster greater environmental literacy regarding coastal conservation.
