Visual LIFT
Visual LIFT is an industrial support initiative managed under the umbrella of the Visual Sweden innovation platform. Headquartered at Visualiseringscenter C in Norrköping, the project operates a distributed network of technical laboratories and mini-labs across eastern Central Sweden, including nodes in Finspång, Örebro, Eskilstuna, and Västerås.
Backed by academic expertise from Linköping University, Visual LIFT matches small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with advanced visualization tools to optimize operations, streamline business communication, and secure future-proof industrial practices.
Core Business Offerings
The project opens up specialized technical environments where businesses can test and adapt immersive engineering methods across four pillars:
- 3D Communications: Developing collaborative virtual environments (VR/AR) or touch-screen configurations that let suppliers, sales divisions, and clients evaluate live CAD sketches and production specifications through a unified visual language.
- Virtual Operations Twins: Building interactive 3D simulations of factory layouts, real estate portfolios, and processing facilities. These models help manufacturers visualize operational workflows, configure assembly shifts, and facilitate workplace training safely.
- Product Digital Twins: Re-engineering standard blueprints to inject metadata into the early product cycle. This method enables product developers to experiment with material textures, generate real-time product mockups, and utilize reverse-engineering scans.
- Data Visualization: Converting raw sensor streams, logistics logs, and historical spreadsheets into digestible visual dashboards. Enterprises can rapidly monitor production down-time, deploy automated real-time supply counters, and view heatmaps to bypass operational bottlenecks.
