Legend Symbols

Legend Symbols are small reusable images displayed beside entries in a Legend. They are useful when a color alone cannot explain the data, or when the map uses a recognizable shape or icon.

Omni does not provide any symbols by default as of now. You can download a starting kit of symbols here:

After creating a new Legend Symbol under Simstad > Symbols in Omni Admin, add its details here.

Field	Description
Key	Short identifier used when selecting and retrieving the Symbol.
Image	Image displayed next to a Legend entry.

Use consistent image dimensions across the complete Symbol set so entries align cleanly. The Norrköping installation uses images that are 128 × 64 pixels, which is a good starting point for another installation. Transparent images are useful when the Symbol should sit over the Legend background without a visible rectangle.

Once you have created a new Legend Symbol, you can use it in a Legend.
